New partnership will support Northern Virginia’s largest adult recreational league

FAIRFAX, VA. – Fairfax Athletics (FXA), Northern Virginia’s Largest Co-ed, Men’s, & Women’s Adult Social Sports League, is pleased to announce Cox Communications’ partnership for the 2013-2014 season as a League Sponsor.   Community partnerships are critical to the success of sports and recreational clubs in offsetting the high costs associated with offering a competitive, organized league in which adults can participate.

Cox Communications has a long history of supporting the communities where we do business and we’re excited to join Fairfax Athletics as a league sponsor this year.
Cox is the nation’s third largest cable and broadband company and has about 6 million customers across the United States.  Cox offers a variety of advanced digital video, high-speed Internet and telephone services over our own IP network.  In the past year, Cox also introduced Cox Home SecurityWiFi and just recently revealed its newest product, Contour.

In addition to residential services, Cox also provides business customers of all sizes with our high speed Internet, phone and long distance services, as well as data and video transport services.

Cox also gives back to Fairfax and the surrounding community through its philanthropic arm, Cox Charities.  Once per year, Cox Charities awards grants to qualified organizations that provide educational programs designed to further the academic achievement and development of young people through science and technology, mentoring, literacy and other areas promoting you and education.  Since 2009, Cox Charities has awarded $460,000 to youth and education programs across the state.  The 2013 grant cycle will open in October; please visit www.coxcharities.org to sign up for our mailing list so you may receive announcements regarding the grant cycle process.

Thank you for giving Cox the opportunity to be a part of Fairfax Athletics.  We are looking forward to the year ahead and wish you all well.
